Unless otherwise noted, the fundraising incentives for participating and fundraising for Athletes for a Cure as follows:
$25 Athletes for a Cure Registration (or after $25 raised)
AFAC Welcome Kit, including:
- AFAC Technical T-Shirt
- Prostate Cancer Foundation Cookbook
- 2 Blue Prostate Cancer Awareness Bracelets
- Prostate Cancer, PCF and AFAC Informational Postcards
The following prizes and prize levels can vary based on the event you’re participating in, please the respective pages for each event for specifics. All prizes below are cumulative and subject to the AFAC Prize Rules.
$250 Raised
- Your choice of official AFAC Team Uniform (running or triathlon)
$750 Raised
- AFAC drawstring backpack and water bottle
$1,500 Raised
- One Apple iPod Shuffle
$2,000 Raised
- One pair of Newton Running Shoes
$3,000 Raised
- One $100 air travel OR hotel gift card
$6,000 Raised
- One $100 giftcard for athletic expenses
- One additional $100 air travel OR hotel gift card
AFAC Prize Rules
Official AFAC Team Uniform Options (one choice per participant):
- Triathlon Top (gender specific)
- Running Singlet (gender specific)
Sizes and styles subject to availability. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery
Newton Running Shoes Rules:
- Selection of shoes to be offered at discretion of AFAC and Newton.
- We will do their best to offer first choice of shoes; however, selection of shoes will be determined by stock and availability of size/color.
Additional Rules:
- Prizes are accumulated within one calendar year. As of January 1 of each year, all fundraising dollars are set to $0. Exceptions to this require individual requests. Please submit requests to info@athletesforacure.org
- Each event is a separate fundraising program. Multiple fundraising pages and dollars will not be accumulative. Awards will be distributed according to individual fundraising page dollar amounts.
- Each fundraising level supplements the prize packages; prizes are cumulative. [For example, once you receive your AFAC team uniform after raising $250, you do not get another when you reach $500.]
- Athlete is responsible for the shipping costs of exchanges or returns, unless it is due to our error.
- If you prefer to decline any of your prizes, please let us know.
